Linda Kaplan, MHA

Linda has worked in healthcare marketing and promotion for over thirty-five years. Born and raised in Palm Springs, California, she is the granddaughter, daughter, and sister of prominent cardiologists. After earning an undergraduate degree in communications from UC Santa Barbara, she worked in the marketing and/or sales division of major companies including Proctor & Gamble (Patient Care Services Division), American Medical International, Summit Health, Ltd., and PacifiCare Health Systems. She served as Marketing Director for Special Care Services, a dental office for the developmentally disabled, and worked for almost eight years as a Senior Account Executive for a southern California human healthcare advertising agency. For the next ten years while raising her children, Linda owned and managed Kaplan Communications Group, a human healthcare marketing consultancy offering the full spectrum of marketing communication services from strategic planning through evaluation. During that time, she earned a Master of Health Administration degree at Chapman University.

She completed two terms as Program Chair of the Orange County Health Care Public Relations and Marketing Association (HPRMA), Orange County Program Chair and National Honor Roll member of the Medical Marketing Association (MMA), and is past president of the Orange County Chapter of Women in Business (WIB). In 2011, she left human healthcare marketing and moved to animal health marketing (or moved from two legs to four legs), by joining the BluePrints team.

In her spare time she enjoys cooking, hiking, going to live theatre and hanging with her husband in their empty nest (now that all of the kids have flown the coop!).

Interesting Linda Trivia

She was voted Class Clown and Most Spirited in high school.
